Carolyn June Thomas

Carolyn June Thomas, 86, of Wichita Falls passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

The family will receive friends between 2 and 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at the funeral home with Chaplain Tim Holley, officiating. Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial in Burkburnett, Texas under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

Carolyn was born on February 23, 1940 to the late Vernon W. and May M. (Nix) Alvey in Electra, Texas. She attended school in Burkburnett, Texas and excelled in baton twirling. Carolyn was a faithful Dallas Cowboy fan, winning or losing. She enjoyed sewing and watching television shows, Gunsmoke, Wheel of Fortune and Soap Operas with her care givers. Most of all, she loved keeping up with all the new family events on her Digital Photo Viewer. Carolyn will always be remembered for her caring heart, gentle spirit and the love of her family and friends.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death  by her son, Christopher Leon Thomas; brother,James Clayton Alvey; and a sister, Katherine Jane Wright.

She is survived by her two sons, Perry Thomas and wife, Connie and Dale Thomas; and a daughter, Melissa Mudd and husband, Todd; five grandchildren, Garett Mudd and wife, Tabby, Conner Mudd, Candice Kohl, Dr. Kyle Thomas and wife, Kayla and Cody Thomas and wife, Megan; three great-grandchildren, Harper Kohl, Weston Kohl, and Morgan Thomas; and many other loved family members.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the following caregivers: Tabby, Sunshine, and Shandy and from Beyond Faith Hospice, Tim and Brittney and from Kinder Heart Hospice, Thalia, Cassey, Jacqueline and Kristine for the love and care of Carolyn.
