Carolyne Chieffo, 72, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, September 28th, 2024. Carolyne was born on January 23rd, 1952, to Dolores and George Taylor in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Bishop Kearney High School and went on to earn her bachelor's degree at SUNY New Paltz, and later her master's in education at Long Island University. She was an elementary special education teacher for New York City Public Schools until her retirement in 2014. Carolyne had a witty sense of humor and a boundless generosity that she shared with the world. Her door was always open to friends and strangers alike. From holiday gatherings to spontaneous barbecues, her table was always full. She was a trivia wiz, and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. She loved music, ice cream, and dogs– especially her Frenchie, Lou. Carolyne was preceded in death by her parents, her brother James, and her daughter Theresa. She is survived by her children, George and Jackie, daughter-in-law Jessica, siblings George Taylor, Thomas Taylor, John Taylor, Michael Taylor, and Kathryn Carrubba, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
