My dearest Nicole, I just saw the news about Carrie. I am so completely saddened for her loss. I will always remember her as a bright light in the room. Someone always smiling always with a pleasant face. Something nice to say about everyone. you are a strong woman and have been gifted with many angels to watch over you as you live your life here on earth. I will continue to pray for her and you as well. Godspeed, my dear with much love.

My heart just breaks hearing of Carrie’s passing. I taught her baton during her preteen and teen years and loved being around her and her family. She had such a huge heart and always wanted to make everyone happy. She always wanted to give me her very best and loved being a part of our competitive team. Nicole, you are in my heart and my prayers.

My heat is breaking right now. I was very close to Mary Lou all through my life and I’ll never forget the day she called and said she had her baby. I asked her what she named her and she said Carrie Lynn, that happened to be my favorite name. I was so excited. Over the years I got to babysit and play with Carrie. She was my little friend. As always times change people move and there was a distance between us. I did however get to fly to Wilmington to visit and she came to Florida to visit....
