Dear paw paw,
Where do I begin. First thank you for being the amazing man and grandfather that you are. As I sit here and think back to when I would sit in your lap at the kitchen table and you would always sing to me when I was little. "Mommas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys" oh how I now miss that! Or when i was a baby and you would take me with you to sell fruits and always try and sell me to someone. Haha! Its definitely funny now thinking back to it. Paw paw you...

A resident of Hammond passed away at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born November 15, 1922 in Independence and was 94 years of age. He was an U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Viola; sons, Anthony Viola, Vincent Viola, and wife, Hanna, Charlie Engeron and wife, Cathy, Johnny Viola and wife, Brandi, Casimo Viola, Jr. and wife, Connie, Michael Viola and wife, Ashley and Chris Engeron; daughters, Robin Romano and husband, Walter and Cathy Engeron; 24 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary Viola; brothers, Joe and Tony Viola and his sisters, Mary Bajaezky, Katie Pizzoloto, Lena Stubbs and Tina Viola. Visitation at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017. Services conducted by Fr. Howard Adkins.
