Flower Mound, TX - It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved mother, sister, niece, cousin, and friend, Catherine Harrison. Catherine Harrison was born on March 23, 1942, to Marie Thompson Dee (deceased) and raised in the loving care of Grace Thompson Stewart (deceased). Catherine departed September 13, 2025, following a battle with cancer. Catherine was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She attended Scotlandville High School. She found her calling to serve others early in life and spent more than thirty years at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center as a nursing assistant. She lived a life of servitude and grace. Catherine and her husband Lloyd Harrison of Baton Rouge, LA (deceased) were married 23 years. They had seven children, fourteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her absolute joy. Catherine's happiest moments were celebrating birthdays, graduations, and special moments in the lives of her family and friends. Her devotion emanated every time she came over quietly, cleaning and organizing, leaving a crisp and bright warmth uniquely, Catherine. Catherine's unapologetic faith and love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ are still the most vivid memories her family holds dear. Her style and her way were always heavenly excellence. She is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Harrison, mothers (Marie Dee and Grace Thompson, sisters (Willette Mosley and Ethel Thompson), brothers (Bruce Thompson, David Thompson, and Danny Thompson), and three of her seven children (Brenita Vinning, Kerry Harrison, and Erica Harrison). She leaves to mourn her brothers (Clark Chaney Fort Worth, TX and Ernest Johnson (Carolyn) Niceville, FL, sister (Virgie Mae Jackson (Jerome) Ruston, LA), children (Cathy Chesser (Darrell) Baton Rouge, LA, Demetrice Hill (Charles) Dallas, TX, Monica Lockett (Terrell Sr.) Baton Rouge, LA and Sonya Phillips (Melvin Phillips) Baton Rouge, LA), fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
