So sorry to hear of your mom's passing.It was a pleasure caring for her when I did. She was such a sweet person and I go past your house Monday thru Friday cause I have a client that lives on the same street off of Oberlin Ave. May your mom RIH. And my deepest of condolenses.

Cindi, I am so sad to hear about your mom. I always enjoyed sitting by her, especially at our painting luncheons. She was a lovely lady and will be missed by all. Prayers for you, I know you´ll miss her so much.

Catherine's Obituary

Catherine Theodoropoulos (nee Caruloff), 84 of Lorain, fell asleep in the Lord, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at UH Elyria Hospital following a brief illness.

Catherine was born in Lorain on September 1, 1937. Her family Immigrated from Agios Germanos, Greece. She was her family’s first child born in the United States.

She was married to her husband Paul for 59 years. She is survived by her loving daughter Cynthia with whom she made her home.

Catherine was very active at Saints Cyril and Methodious Orthodox Church, Lorain. She served as treasurer and secretary at the church as well as the treasurer and secretary of the churches’ Sisterhood. Catherine used her creative talents as an artist to paint the crucifix displayed behind the alter and used for Easter services as well as painted the wooden cross used by the priest for blessing holy water. She lovingly sewed the altar cloths for her church over the years. She was employed by US Steel as a secretary retiring in 1978.

Catherine was a member of the North Coast Decorative Artists Guild. Catherine was quite talented artistically, she made jewelry, beautiful stained glass, embroidery, and painted. Her artistic side took her to not only participate at Arts and Crafts shows but also become a frequent shopper at them for many years. Catherine loved to go thrift store shopping, collecting cookbooks, and was very proud her rose bushes. And loved her cats.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 2016, her parents German and Sophia (nee Topoloff) Caruloff and brothers Alex and Thomas Caruloff

Her family will receive friends at Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 3056 Reeves Ave, Lorain, Ohio 44053 on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a Trisagion service held at 6:30 PM. Her funeral service will be at the church on Wednesday, February 9 at 10:00am. Rev. Father, Paul G. Monkowski, Rector will officiate. Her burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church.
