Cecil Eugene Miller Sr, of Florala passed away July 10, 2020. He was born January 4, 1924 in Bruce, FL to Edward Miller and Ilene Sawyer Miller. Cecil was a WWII veteran. He worked as a electronics instructor for civil service for nearly 50 years. He loved Auburn Football and it's rich traditions and enjoyed sharing that love with his family. He was an avid fisherman and spent countless hour in the lakes and ponds of south Alabama and northwest Florida. Cecil was a antique car lover and owned a Ford Model A. Although constantly busy being a electronic instructor he was actively involved with his son and daughters actives whether being a little league coach, scout master or helping with the campfire girls. He was preceded in death by wife, Alene Miller; father, Edward Miller; mother, Ilene Sawyer Miller; brother, Edward L Miller Jr.
He is survived by son, Cecil Eugene Miller Jr and wife Angie, daughter, Kathryn A Hughes and husband Lewis, brothers John, Jack and Bill Miller, sister, Debbie Manning, grandchildren, Brian, Zach and Alex Miller, Drew and Kary Hughes, great grandchildren, Penelope Grace Miller and Cecil Ames Miller.
Funeral services for Cecil Eugene Miller Sr will be 3PM Wednesday July15, 2020 at Evans Funeral Home with Kevin Holland officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour before services. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
