Cecil H. "Butch" Neff, Jr. 61 of Centralia, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.He was born September 6, 1953 in Salem, son of Cecil Neff, Sr. and Harlene (Baker) Marcum. He married Carolyn (Snyder) Neff on August 15, 2003 in Salem and she survives in Centralia.In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Cecil Neff , III and husband Frank Rapp of Centralia, Tabitha Short and husband Roy of Centralia, Celia Merrell and husband Eric of Centralia and Jane Neff and special friend Brad Bowlby of Centralia; five grandchildren: Nathan Neff, Rachel Short, Troy Short, Linda Merrell and Erika Merrell; ten brothers and sisters: Tim Neff, Paul Neff, Lily Harrison, Willard Neff, Kevin Neff, Scott Neff, Cecil D. Neff, Michelle Barkau, James Hassebrock and John Hassebrock; sister-in-law, Sandra Owens; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Mike Neff and Randy Owens and a nephew, Michael Neff."Butch" was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. He was well loved; a simple man and he saw humor in everything. He enjoyed watching wrestling. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, friends and his four legged companions, Blacky and Tiny.Celebration of Life Services for Cecil "Butch" Neff, Jr. will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, which is in charge of arrangements.
