Celia Anne Hudson

Celia Anne (Garrow) Hudson formerly of Vassar and Goodrich, age 96, died Tuesday October 14, 2025 at Tranquility Estate, Grand Blanc. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 pm Sunday October 19, 2025 at Hansen Funeral Home, Groves Chapel. Downtown Davison. Those desiring may make contributions in Celia’s memory to the Wounded Warriors in memory of her six uncles who proudly served during WW II.

Celia was born in Flint Michigan on October 14, 1929 the daughter of the late Edward S. and Theodora W. (Holzer) Garrow and had resided in Flint in her early years; she later relocated to Vassar where she built a home and spent much of her life until relocating to Goodrich with her mother Theodora and sister Dora. As the years finally caught up she was able to spend the last several years again with her sister Dora at Tranquility Estates in Grand Blanc. Celia had been a active member at Vassar Presbyterian Church for many years. Her love of people and her ability to socialize with everyone was her greatest trait, and allowed her to become the “Social Butterfly” loved by all. She had been employed by General Motors Buick Division until her retirement in 1982.

She leaves to cherish her memory sister Dora Mae (Garrow) Morgan. Niece Deborah and husband Greg Stricker, nephew Gordon and wife Lourie Morgan, nieces: Annette Hagar, and Lori Gardner. She also leaves great niece Rebecca Morgan, and great nephews: Michael and wife Nicole Stricker, and Jacob and wife Brittany Stricker. She is preceded in death by sister Joan Anderson.
