Not sure what to say?

We are so sorry Donna, Curtis and Christine. Johnny and Saundra Schantz.

Condolences to the family I am so very sorry for your loss. Sending prayers, thoughts and love.

You were the first person to be my friend when I moved to Aubrey in 8th grade. You were a little bit different than everyone else and so was I and that’s why we connected. Skateboarding solidified it. I’ll always remember those care-free days skating behind the chaparral, with no worries in the world. Just goofing off and knowing better than to take life too seriously. I’ll always remember the peanut butter pancakes too. Wishing peace and love for you and your family. ❤

Bro last time I seen you we were in Denton at some hole in the wall spot listening to tasty jams lol your gone to soon bro the ride wasn't over still many years left this one hit harder than all the rest just be the countless hrs we stayed up and just had jam sessions miss ya man

Last time I saw Chad was when Christine, Chad, Donna and I went to the pizza place in Goldsby. We ate pizza and we went outside played cornhole. Lots of laughing, cutting up. But Chad was driving Christine car before we got back to Blanchard I got nauseous as we come up to stop sign I told Chad to unlock the door cause I got sick then as started through the light I said roll this window down and I gave them money to wash her car. We went back to Donna’s house a played a game and of course...

Offering our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.

Chad's Obituary

Chad Joel Knapp passed away August 9, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on April 25, 1986, in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Curtis Neal and Donna Sue Knapp. Chad graduated from Aubrey ISD in 2005.

Chad, who grew up in Blanchard, Oklahoma, was known from a young age as a quick-witted jokester with a gift for impressions that could light up a room. In his teen years, he was athletic and adventurous, finding joy in skateboarding and staying active. As an adult, Chad embraced life as a true social butterfly, always out and about, meeting new people, and sharing his artist’s spirit. A lover of all music, he played the acoustic guitar, sang from the heart, and found inspiration in every melody. Chad had two beautiful daughters in 2013 and 2015 that brought him great joy and brightened his life. Chad’s laughter, warmth, and passion for connecting with others will be remembered by all who knew him.

Chad is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joe and Reba Knapp; and maternal grandfather Don Dewey.

He is survived by his father, Curtis and Patty Knapp of Pauls Valley; mother, Donna and Keith Hatton of Blanchard; stepfather, Larry Schantz and wife Tenna, of Decatur, Texas; daughters, Nola Knapp and Davy Knapp of Austin, Texas; brothers, Curtis and wife Jordan Knapp of Collinsville, Texas, and Chance Knapp of Newcastle; sisters Christine Schantz of Krugerville, Texas, and Makenzie and husband Cody Elliott of Norman; grandmother, Diane Dewey of Blanchard; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
