Charleen's Obituary

Charleen Suzette Dillon, 75, of Athens, died Thursday January 16, 2026 at Arbors at Pomeroy.  Born March 18, 1950 in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Marlin Steiner and Ruth Annette Hill Steiner.

She was a longtime resident of Athens and was employed at Ohio University at Bromley Hall and South Green Housekeeping.  She attended Christ Lutheran Church in Athens.

Charleen is survived by two daughters, Kerry (Brian) Calentine-Damron of Mulvane, KS and Kelly (Michael) Skilwies of Dayton; a son, Jesse Stires of Athens; sixteen grandchildren, Zachary, Hunter, Genna, Jacob, Dylan, Braedon, Shane, Kasidee, Michael, Ella, Emma, Mila, Jenna, Mason, Wade, and Jesse, Jr.; and a sister, Marleen Laufhutte.
