Charles's Obituary

Charles was born November 9, 1946, to the late Benjamin and Moszell Addison in Baltimore, Maryland. Charles was the third of five children. His sister Barbara G. Hammond and brother Ronald L. Addison preceded him in death. Charles received his education at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and Baltimore City Public Schools. Charles played lead guitar for several groups. He was an extraordinary guitar player. In the 1960'S and 1970's he recorded with The Chapells, The Inclinations, and the Optimistics. Charles was a very intelligent man. He loved music, cars and was a competitive Chess player. He drove a cab in the earl)! 70'S before being hired as a bus driver with the Mass Transit Administration if Maryland in 1974. Charles leaves to mourn three sons; Michael Anthony Addison, Sr., Charles Allen Addison, Jr., Christopher Nelson Jarrod Addison, Sr., two daughters; Erica Lorelle Davis, Carolyn Kathleen Addison-Diggs, two brothers; John J Smith, Sr., Lindsay C Addison, two sisters in law; Josephine Smith, Yvette "Cookie" Addison, twenty-one grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one aunt, Thelma McClain, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
