Charles I. Bryner, 82,

of Dickerson Run (Dunbar Township), passed away at 2:58 AM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at his residence. Charlie, as he was affectionately known, was born on June 11, 1943, in Dunbar, a son of the late Walter and Violet (Martin) Bryner. He married Violet G. (Martin) Bryner on August 12, 1965, and she survives him.

Charlie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He graduated from Dunbar Township High School, Class of 1961, and worked as a welder at Laurel Steel in Scottdale for nearly 10 years. He also worked for 20 years at Hillman Barge in Brownsville.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Charlie served his country as a Private First Class from 1961 to 1965, and in the Marine Corps Reserve until 1967. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge.

Throughout the years, Charlie gave back to his community by coaching for Tri-Town and serving as Cub Master with Pack #168 in Vanderbilt.

Charlie will be deeply missed by his loving family: his wife of 60 years, Violet G. (Martin) Bryner; his three children, Charles Bryner of Dickerson Run, Cheryl Anton of Jefferson Hills, and Keith Bryner (Rose Allshouse) of Vanderbilt; his six grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Harry Anton Jr, and his eight siblings.
