Charles T. Host
Age 83, of Scio, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 in Aultman Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 8, 1941 in Bowerston to Charles C and Mary Hazel (Copeland) Host. He retired from Cramblett Trucking in Carrollton where he was a truck driver for 38 years. He is a US Army Veteran and 50 year member of the Scio American Legion Post #482. He loved to spend time gambling with his brother, Bob.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara (Ankeny) Host whom he married May 23, 1970, 2 daughters, Kari Ann Salsberry of Scio, Brittney (Ryan) Stuckey of Scio, 2 sons, 2 brothers, Kenneth (Goldie) Host of Dennison, Robert Host of Bowerston, sister-in-law, Bootsie Host of Bowerston, 7 grandchildren; Kaden and Skyler Salsberry, Mikayla (Jerry) Vance, Chelsey (Taylor) Phillips and 5 great grandchildren; Jessica Howell, Robert Phillips, Avery Vance, Rylan Stuckey and Jansen Stuckey. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harold “Keith” and Wayne Host.
