In Loving Memory ofCharles Wallace Michael, Sr. October 6, 1942 – February 14, 2014The beloved father, brother, and friend of many entered into rest after a courageous battle with a long term illness with loved ones at his side at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. He was predeceased by Frances Williams, his former wife and mother of his three children, grandson Joseph Laugand, Jr. brother Cleveland Michael. He is survived by his children, Stephanie Marie Michael, Theresa Maria Michael and his namesake Charles Wallace Michael, Jr. of Houston, Texas. He is survived by grandchildren Porsche Laugand, Alexandra Michael, Audrey Martin and Jade Michael. He is also survived by twin great grandsons Aydan and Zyon Brooks. He is also survived by his beloved sisters Hannah M. Degefu and Maggie M. Baptiste who graciously made it possible for him to remain a lifelong resident of his native New Orleans as he preferred during his illness. He is survived by nieces and nephew, and a host of dear family members and friendsThe deceased was a tenacious soul with a bold spirit who enjoyed music, an opportunity to laugh, and winning in life. Those who knew him best and loved him most understood his special way of communicating his love and unique perspective. He worked for Tonti Management Company and 1st Lake Properties. He was also skilled carpenter, electrician, and brick mason.
