Not sure what to say?

He and his brother Billie Joe were friends of the Dennis Bess Family in Chaffee, I then re-met and became friends of Charlie when I served on The Salvation Army Advisory Board in Cape Girardeau, where he regaled me with stories of my family which included several about me and my escapades learning to twirl a baton and he claimed I hit him in the head with it. Thankful for the stories about my family and for the laughs. Definitely one of a kind.

I met Charlie at Fitness Plus and became friends. He was a nice gentlemen. I feel like I should know his family because that is all he talked about. His daughters, and grandchildren. I knew he had moved to the Lt. Louis area and I had called him about a month ago just to see how he was. He was in a rehab trying to learn how to walk again. Sure he is going to be missed by all his friends at Fitness Plus. Rest in peace Charlie.

Remember a lot of good volunteers ♂trips with you at many salvation army disaster events. Your a great partner and close friend. Darlene and I will miss you and keep in our prayers. God bless!

Mr. Charlie was such a great person. Reading his obituary made me smile because it was definitely him. He sure believed in living life to its fullest. Always there to lend a helping hand. If Mr. Charlie said he was going to do something you better believe it would be taken care of as soon as possible. We were in the Lions at the same time. So sorry for the family’s loss. Remember the good memories. Fly high with the angels Mr. Charlie.

I’ve known Charlie for over 45 years. What a wonderful man and servant of God. He was always ready to do anything to drive the business forward and help the community. His word was his bond. After he retired I didn’t see him to often. My mom was in rehab at Chateau and I had an opportunity to reconnect with Charlie. I am so glad that we had a chance to visit.
