In loving memory of my great uncle Charles, whose vibrant personality and infectious smile left a lasting impression on me - even though our time together was limited. I hope he knows how much I loved him, despite the distance that separated our family. I am incredibly grateful that he had Rosalind by his side, especially during his final moments. May he rest peacefully, cherished in our hearts, and watch over us til we meet again.

I will always appreciate the season that Uncle Charles was in my life and that I had the chance to truly know him. He was the coolest person I knew. Though distance and time were not on our side, I hope he knew how deeply he was loved. I am grateful for his companion, Ms. Rosalind, who was by his side for years; she was his blessing and his person. Uncle Charles will be deeply missed. Rest well.

Although we didn’t spend much time together, the moments we did share were meaningful. He carried a quiet kindness and offered words of encouragement that left a lasting impression. His genuine spirit was easy to feel, and I’m thankful I had the chance to experience that.

Never shall I forget the moment I met Uncle Charles so many years ago. We were working in the same building, but I was unaware who he was. I recall him walking up to me with a stern face and asking if my name was Matt, to which I replied "yes, but how do you know my name." Then, effecting an even more serious face, Charles said, "because you're married to my niece Gidget, aren't you?" With some hesitance and slight trepidation I responded, "yes, Sir I am indeed" in the most respectful tone I...
