Betty, Cathy and family, our deepest sympathies. Charlie was a special man, always helpful, he did beautiful work and we loved everything he made for us!!! His legacy lives on in many good memories!! Love and hugs to you!

Betty, I am so sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Charlie and you from back when I worked at Kroger with you. Charlie was a kind-hearted man. I feel fortunate to have known him. Sending you my deepest sympathy.

Oh Betty & family. So sorry to read of Charlie’s passing. He never met a stranger and was always a joy to visit with. Sorry to say that I am not going to be able to attend his services due to another commitment; but, I shall be there in spirit and send you a virtual hug.

Charles's Obituary

Mr. Charles Louis Redecker Jr. of Warrenton, MO passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at his home. He was born on September 6, 1939, in St. Louis, MO to the late Charles Louis Sr. and Lillian Christina (nee: Gollhofer) Redecker. Charles had reached the age of 86 years.

Charles proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. He was united in marriage to Betty Jane Laird on June 28, 1958, in Warrenton. They recently celebrated 67 wonderful years together. This union was blessed with two children, John and Cathy. Charles was a 1957 graduate from Warren County RIII.  He and Betty attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton and he was a member since 1954. Charles was a member of the Carpenter's Local 3202 and Local 32 and was very passionate about the work of the union. He served as a trustee, treasurer and the finance secretary at different times. He also was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles was a hard working man, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.

Charles Redecker was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillian; one son, John Redecker; one brother-in-law, Dale Bauer. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Redecker; one daughter, Cathy Doyle; sister, Susan Bauer; nephew, Kevin Bauer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for Charles Redecker will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Warrenton. A burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery.  Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the Retired Carpenter's Union. Online condolences may be given at martinfuneral.net
