Obituary

Charles "Squeeky"'s Obituary

Charles “Squeeky” Leeroy Wade, Jr. passed away in Huntsville, Texas on December 9, 2024.  He was born March 6, 1969, in Houston, Texas to Charles Leeroy, Sr. and Linda Gayle (Laake) Hilton.

He is preceded in death by his father; & Grandparents Herbert and Edra Wade, and Otto and Hettie Mae Laake.

Squeeky is survived by his daughter, Cortney Lanae Albus, and Son, Cody Duane Wade, and their mother Callie Miracle; grandchildren Kayleigh, Braylee, Kinlee, Kaleb, and Casen; Mother Linda Hilton and husband Gene; sister Marci Wade Johnson; and nephew Kenneth Jessup, Jr.

Squeeky enjoyed to Hunt & Fish. He spent several summers out on the lake taking his family boating, fishing, & camping. In the fall/winter, he would take his family for weekends at a deer lease somewhere to experience life at its fullest in the woods.

Squeeky was an intelligent man & the provider for his family.  He made sure his children did not go without and always had the best of the best from the shoes on their feet to their first vehicles, and so much more. He loved and cherished his grandchildren dearly and went above and beyond for them, starting before they ever took a breath on this earth. Squeeky always had the best of intentions, his heart was kind and caring, and he enjoyed giving to others.

Squeeky was a skilled businessman always involved with something in the automotive industry including paint and body, auto sales, junk cars & salvage yards. Tow trucks became his passion. He loved the thrill of a wrecker call and spent several days and nights chasing that thrill. He could always turn a penny into a dollar with his hustle and ambition. He didn’t give up easily and hardly ever would accept “no” or “I can't” for an answer. He would always say, “if there is will, there is a way!”

Squeeky loved the Lord and experienced true miracles throughout his battle with cancer. He was a believer, an overcomer, and human. He made mistakes as well as made his peace with his Heavenly Father before passing. Squeeky was a great teacher of many lessons to several people that knew him. He will be missed deeply and may the good memories live on forever….

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Eastgate Family Church, 1245 East Goliad Street, Crockett, Texas 75835.  Interment will follow at Eastern Gate Cemetery, Highway 94, Trinity, Texas 75862.
