Charles's Obituary

Charles Andrew Weiss, Jr., 91, of Fairlawn, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019. He was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Josie Whitt Weiss; and sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Alan and Alice Weiss and Clifford Arnold Weiss; a brother and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Alta Frances King Weiss; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Scott “Tater” Weiss-Jones; sons and daughter-in-law, Scottie Lee and Trina Weiss; brother-in-law, Phillip (Martha) King; 9 grandchildren, Phillip King, Jr., Shannon (Bryan) Cook, Crystal King, Andy (Paula) Weiss, Tanya (Jason) White, Misty (James) Breeden, Brandy Weiss, Alisha Weiss and Noah Weiss; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Clinton Weiss; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 until 1 p.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Tibbs officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
