Im writing this for my daughter Ma’Kayla Franklin who was in Ms. Biffel 3rd grade classroom! I didn’t get the chance to meet her yet, unfortunately! My baby loved her, like she was a 2nd mom! She said she was kind, sweet, loving but made sure everybody was ok! I hate her time was cut short! All the love you have for you on earth, lets me know the kind of person you was! You have touched so many lives! Rest in heaven your job is done!!!

Cheyenne Alexus Biffle was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, aunt and teacher.  She was 31 at the time of her passing on October 2nd, 2025. She was born to the union of Gordon and Vanessa (Thomas) Biffle Jr.  

She attended TW Rumph Christian Academy and Spirit of God for Elementary School, continued at Ambassadors Academy for middle school where she was awarded as the very first graduate of the academy, she then  graduated from Thea Bowman Leadership Academy Charter School. She furthered her studies at Purdue Northwest University where she obtained a BA in Communication and Early Childhood Education.  She was attending IU pursuing her master’s in urban educational leadership while teaching 3rd grade at Steel City Academy and before that she was a Kindergarten teacher at 21st Century Charter Elementary.  

Cheyenne is proceeded in death by her grandparents Willie and Bernice Thomas, Archie B. Boyd, Gordon L. Biffle Sr, Great grandparents Clarence and Mary Winfield Sr, Luke Thomas and Allenia Thomas and Maryannza Thomas, Aunt Latanza Denson, Uncle Deshawn Bonds and best friend Ebony Eastland.  She leaves to cherish her parents Vanessa Biffle and Gordon L. (Darquia) Biffle Jr, sons Ro ’Jay W. Ross, Ra’Jah E. Ross, sister Cierra Biffle, brothers Gordon L. (Trae) Biffle III, Quionte Biffle, Trystan Biffle, Aunt Nicole L. Thomas, special cousin/little sister Brooklyn Thomas, special cousin sisters Jasmine Denson and Arshia Denson and special cousin brother David Mckey, special nephew A’Keem Pratchet and Best friends Taryn Whaley & Crystal James.

Funeral services are Saturday October 18th, 2025, at Embassies of Christ 4285 Cleveland Street, Gary, IN.  Visitation 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with funeral immediately starting at 11:00 a.m.  Interment Evergreen Memorial Park in Hobart IN.
