Christopher (Chris) Patrick Leyden, Age 61, was born on January 29, 1963 in Oak Lawn, Illinois. During his life Chris resided in Chicago, Orland Park, Bloomington-Normal, Lockport and Frankfort until his untimely death in his home in Canton, Illinois on July 13, 2024.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Holly Leyden, his mother, Nora (nee O’Malley) Leyden, his siblings, Tricia (Denis) O’Donoghue, Nora (Brian) Collins, Patrick (Kathleen), and Noel (Katie), his nieces and nephews, Sinead O’Donoghue, Tara (Jose) Cardenas, David O’Donoghue, Kalle, Patrick, Ethan, Connor, Jimmy and Danny, and his former wife of 29 years, Jeannine Sauer. Chris is preceded in death by his father Patrick Leyden and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Chris was a union bricklayer since 1990 and will be remembered for his love of family, Ireland, music, hockey, especially the Blackhawks, the White Sox and video gaming, but mostly music (the old guy in the Sonic Youth t-shirt).

Interment of ashes at Holy Sepulcher Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois.
