Christian's Obituary

Christian Kyle Charay, 21, of Topeka died February 27, 2018.

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on September 30, 1996 the son of Alfred J. and Laurie E. Charay.

Christian worked for Lowe’s in several capacities including the lumber department and as a fork lift operator. He was also proficient at carpentry, drywall, painting, deck building, tile work, electrical and plumbing.

He was a 2015 graduate of Topeka High School where he participated in Baseball, Soccer and Swimming.

Christian was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and had been active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his mother, Laurie Charay, his father Alfred Charay, grandmother, Jennie Charay a half-brother, Ernest James Charay, his girlfriend, Claire Seeley, and numerous aunts. uncles and cousins. Christian was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ernest Charay and grandparents, Lawrence Hitchcock and Lorraine Stemler.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, March 8th, at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be10:00 a.m. Friday, March 9th, at Faith Lutheran Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home to assist his family and sent in care of 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603 or checks may be made payable to Alfred J. Charay and taken to any Capital City Bank location.
