Christopher's Obituary

Christopher Hughes, age 46, of Florala, Alabama, passed away on December 15, 2025. He was born January 14, 1979, in Texas.

Chris was a man who understood the value of a hard day’s work and carried that work ethic with quiet pride. He enjoyed music and found comfort and expression in it throughout his life. He was known for his kind heart, especially toward animals, showing compassion and gentleness to those who could not speak for themselves.

Born with significant health challenges, Chris faced obstacles that many never see. He struggled daily to overcome those challenges, and he did—time and time again. Determined to maintain his independence, he pressed forward even when his health made that difficult. Dialysis weakened his body, but it never broke his spirit. Chris met each day with determination and vigor, refusing to be defined by his limitations.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Hughes.

He is survived by his two sisters, Hannah Redmond and Rhonda Allen, who will cherish his memory and the strength he demonstrated throughout his life.

Chris’s life stands as a quiet testimony to perseverance, courage, and the dignity of continuing on even when the road is hard.
