Christopher's Obituary

Sam Onorio, 57, of Newport, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.

A celebration of life party will be held at the Newport Park on Sunday July 16, 2017 from 1:00 pm until.

Sam was born in Morehead City to Francis Joseph Onorio, Sr., and Evelyn Bell Onorio.  He worked as a regional manager for the B-Mack Corporation.

He is survived by his wife Vickie Raye Onorio of Newport; eight brothers and sisters, Vincent Onorio, Teresa Floyd and husband D’Wayne, Christine Betts and husband Ron, Rebecca Rose and husband Capt. Johnny, Sarah Wallin and husband Will, Andrew Onorio and wife Sherry, Concetta Miller and husband Bill and James Onorio and wife Susan; his loving in-laws, mother-in–law Carol W. Varga;  sister-in-laws Buffie L. Varga and Mona Hopkins.

In addition to his parents, his brothers Joe and John, his father-in-law Raymond Paul Varga and his two furry children Scruffie and Alfie, preceded him in death.

My gentle giant Sam (BaBa), went back to heaven where he truly belonged.  I will love and miss you forever.
