We were so sad to hear of the untimely passage of Chris Toomey. Chris lived in our lower level for almost two years when he came to St. John. He was a breath of fresh air and his kind and charming personality endeared him to us. He brought new energy and passion for our Lord to our church environment. Chris was a great part of my life as a believer. Through high school my parents signed me up for a mission trip and then I got the itch to go on more. They were the most impactful experience on my spiritual growth at that time, and I could always expect a familiar face in Chris to be there on the same trip because that´s what he loved. I worked with Chris at Anderson Elementary and he was always so kind and genuine! His smile lit up a room and I never saw him that he wasn´t smiling and making jokes!
