We are so sorry to hear of Cindy’s passing. Losing the matriarch of your family is an especially profound grief. We won’t find words to express all our hearts want to say. CINDY's Obituary

Cindy S. Duke, 71, Willow River, died peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Essentia St. Mary’s, Duluth.  She was born on August 14, 1954 in South St. Paul to Patrick and Yvonne King.  Cindy attended school in South St. Paul and later relocated with her family to Willow River where she continued her education.  While working in the banking and accounting fields, Cindy lived in the suburbs and eventually called Willow River home.  Cindy loved to garden, grow flowers, create arts & crafts, fishing, and make people laugh.  

Cindy was preceded in death by her mother: Yvonne King and father: Patrick King.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Lynnette (Santos) Bustamante and Jolene (Tim) Walker; son: Justin (Jessica) King; grandchildren: Harley, Amber, Gage, Jace, Cassie, Cayla, and Cody; great grandson: Damyan.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1 pm until 2 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  A service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake.  Following the service, there will be lunch and fellowship at the Corral Bar in Willow River.
