U will be greatly missed by me, your grand daughter and your 2 great grand daughters Emily Vines and Ainsley Palmer. I did and will always love u. Even though I didn't come by as often as I wanted to, u were always in my heart. I love you granny and until we see each other again I'll be missing u.

Clara's Obituary

Mrs. Clara Ruth Roaderick, age 90, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, at her son's residence.

Mrs. Roaderick was born in Rome, GA on February 14, 1926, daughter of the late Gordon and Lucy Davenport Sisson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. Roaderick, Sr. in 1997.  Mrs. Roaderick was employed for several years with Lindale Manufacturing Co. in Lindale and was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Christine Roaderick, Armuchee, Susan Leathers, and her husband, Ken, Pasadena, TX, and Brenda Garrett, and her husband, Randy, Cedartown; 6 sons, Walter Roaderick, Sr., and his wife, Kathy, Rome, Frankie Roaderick, and his wife, Ronda, Summerville, John Roaderick, and his wife, Linda, Cedartown, Robert Roaderick, Rome, Carland Roaderick, Rome, and Roy Roaderick, and his wife, Katherine, Rome; a step-daughter, Cynthia Beckman, Chattanooga, TN; a sister, Annie Mae Reece, Cedartown; a brother, Andy Sisson, Cedartown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Alfred Little, the Rev. Donald Lindsey, and the Rev. Bud Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 12 noon until the service hour.  At other times, they may be contacted at their respective homes.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday at 1:30pm.
