Your Mom was the sweetest,kindness friend a person could ever have like myself, I was her friend since 1958 and remained friends till the end..I'm so glad I got to visit her recently and had a very nice visit.. I will miss her dearly and our chit-chats.. May you rest in peace my dear friend

Candi Jo, David and Jane, so sorry to see the loss of your mom . We had many good years together as friends. I wish we could have been more in contact these last few years. CLARA's Obituary

Clara Ann (Lubrecht) Young, 86, of Cloquet, passed peacefully into her next chapter on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Cloquet.

She was born on December 22, 1938, in Sturgeon Lake to Arthur and Annie (Stapuk) Lubrecht. Clara grew up in the Cloquet and Esko area before moving to Minneapolis, where she spent many years. She was a hard worker from a young age and went on to work for over 21 years at the Gopher Restaurant in West Duluth.

Clara’s greatest joy in life was her family. She had a deep love for hummingbirds and a passion for traveling the world.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Grooms; her second husband, Ben Young; and her siblings, Margaret Francis and Raymond Lubrecht.

Clara is lovingly survived by her son, David Lee Grooms of Cloquet; daughters, Candi Jo (Ken) Kiminski of Esko and Jane Ann (Gordon) Flesher of Port Orange, FL; grandchildren, Joshua Kiminski, Derrick Kiminski, and James (Kira) Grover; great-grandchildren, Madison Marie Grover, Logan Vernon Zosel, and Breonna Lovelle Grover; and siblings, Lillian (Mark) Monson and Leonard (Debbie) Delly.

A private service has been held, and interment will take place at Sturgeon Lake Cemetery.
