Claude was on of the most sweetest men I have ever met, he would give you the shirt off his back. When I was little him and his late wife Mary was my save place during to storms of life.

Claude Allen King age 90 of Galax, Virginia passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Twin County Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 3, 2017.Mr. King was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 17, 1927 to the late Davis and Lizzie Mae Lawson King. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Goad King and a son, Coty King. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Allen and Marcie King of Galax, Virginia; Mike and Kelly King of Hillsville, Virginia and Alane Galyen King of Galax, Virginia; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Galax City Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Bailey officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
