Claudette's Obituary

Claudette L. Jackson “affectionately known as Peg” of Pontiac, Michigan was born January 4, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama and entered eternal rest on February 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents; Della Mae Smith and Jessie Smith, husband Robert Lee Jackson.

Claudette Jackson, a devoted God-fearing woman who cherished her family.  She was a dedicated member of New Experience Church of Christ in Pontiac, Michigan, where she served faithfully as one of the mothers of the church and head of the usher board.  Her legacy of service and devotion will be cherished by all who knew her.

Claudette is survived by her three daughters; Coniceia “Nell” Jackson, Althea “Renae” Cole (Torrance Cole), and Shemeka “TuTu” Jackson.  Two granddaughters; Malasia Cole and Avianne Cole.  Two grandsons; TreOnte’ Jackson and Caelan Jackson.  Two great grandchildren; Sereyah Jackson and Reilynn Jackson. Siblings: Mary Jackson (Frank Jackson), Sheila Perry, Cynthia Jones (Rufus), Joyce Bolger, Shedrick Smith (Julia), Carlton Smith, Fernandez Smith (Tonya), and Emanuel Smith (Sherri). Ex-husband Jim Bowie.  A host of nieces and nephews.

Claudette will lie in repose on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Cobb’s Funeral Home 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan 48341 from 12pm to 6pm.

Her final farewell will be on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Oak Hill Cemetery at 11am, Pontiac, Michigan.  Family will meet at Cobb's Funeral Home at 10:15am, processing to the Cemetery.

Repass will be held immediately after the grave side service at 575 E. Pike Street, Pontiac, Michigan 48342.
