Clifford's Obituary

MATHENY, Clifford Lee Jr. -Age 93, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Living Joy Assisted Living Memory Care.

Funeral service will be held 2pm Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,

Pastor Rob Prince officiating.

Burial in Dunlap, Tennessee.

Contributions may be made to the Veterans Administration or a charity of choice.

Visitation 11am-8pm Monday and 1pm Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.         

Clifford was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on August 1, 1925, the son of the late Clifford Sr. and Laura (Leggit) Matheny. Clifford was an Iron Worker for Local #25 for 65 years. He was a member of Church of God and Masonic Lodge in Millington, Michigan.

Surviving are daughter, Marty Brubaker;

Son, Alan (Victoria) Matheny;

7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Katharyn, son, James Matheny, parents, and sister, Lelia Adams.
