Steven's Obituary

Steven Timothy Brien, 61, a native of Houma and resident of Folsom, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017. He was the son of Russel and Lonis Brien. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a Memorial Mass on Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Bayou Black Drive in Houma. Steve was laid to rest Dec. 30, at St Joseph's Abbey in Covington.Steve is survived by his loving spouse, Susan Bertrand; stepdaughter, Beth Davenport and husband, Graham; and granddaughter, Kaia. Steve is also survived by his sister, Donna Guidry and husband, Charles; and niece Amie Guidry. In addition, Steve is survived by stepmother, Dianne Brien; stepsister, Jill Theriot; stepbrothers, Eric Theriot and spouse, Tonia, and Dean Theriot and spouse, Carla. He was preceded in death by his stepbrother, Mark Theriot.Steve was CEO of EnviroCare Inc., an environmental management company. He was a Knight of Columbus and spent time traveling as "logistical support" for his wife's dog trialing past time. We mourn Steve's passing, and celebrate his life with the many people he touched with his witty sense of humor and care in his all too short time on earth. Those memories shall be forever carried in our hearts.
