Clifford Clay Widmayer

I was very fortunate to work 20 years with Clay at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Not only was he a brilliant scientist, but he was also one of the nicest people I was able to work with. Clay had a real hunger for solving the most important and challenging problems that our program faced. He also took a great deal of time to mentor the younger staff members, so that they would be ready to carry the load when he retired in 2020. We shared some fun times taking about everything...
