How is one special lady so sad she lived one hell of a good life one hard-working woman right there to do anything for you miss you clove my heart goes out to her daughter and family. Have to get a kick out of what she used to buy the old brown bottle that was supposed to make you live long and help with all kinds of aches pains LOL well it must work 100 years old wow wow I could not make it I had to work so sad.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

So sorry for your loss .Jane, and family.You have our deepest sympathys. She is quite the lady. Always busy gardening. And working. We always enjoyed our visits. I talked to her on her birthday . Clovis's Obituary

Clovis Nadine Hollmann, 100, died peacefully on Friday, May 30, 2025, at her home in Grinnell.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday starting at 9:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that memorials go to Mason’s Lighthouse www.masonslighthouse.org and can be sent in care of Cox-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, PO Box 163, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Clovis was born on April 27, 1925, to Byron and Myrtle (Workman) Guyer in Brooklyn, Iowa. She attended Grinnell schools, until her mother fell ill and Clovis stayed home to care for her. In 1946, Clovis was united in marriage to Harvey Parker. They had two girls, Jane and Susan. The couple later divorced. In 1970, she married Harold Hollmann.

She was a very active person and a people person. Clovis volunteered at Second Mile, was a taxi driver and worked in the kitchen for Grinnell Schools. She was a member of the Grinnell American Legion Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and the Christmas Share Program. Clovis enjoyed bowling, softball, golf, hunting, fishing, gardening and baking. She loved cooking and making sure no one went hungry. Her apple pies were award winning. Clovis saw a lot in her 100 years and made the best of her time here.

Clovis will be remembered by her daughter, Jane (John) Hasley of Malcom; three grandchildren, Lara (Larry) Whiteside of Cook, Minnesota, Mickey (Ashley) Pletcher of Frederick, Maryland and Amanda Parrigin of Sebring, Florida; ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; three step great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Hollmann; daughter, Susan Parker in 1956; six brothers and two sisters.
