BAHAMA ? Clyde Goodwin Riggs, Sr., 84, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion. Born in Durham County, Mr. Riggs was the son of the late John Kirkland Riggs and the late Rosabelle Cole Riggs. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Erma Odile Fears Riggs and a brother, William Ralph ?Buck? Clements and his wife, Janie Clements Shipp. Mr. Riggs is survived by a daughter, Connie Riggs Tart and husband Carl; sons, Clyde Goodwin Riggs, Jr. and wife Jeannie, Anthony Thomas Riggs and wife Christi; grandchildren, Amy Winters Sellers and husband Mike, Kimberly Maniace and husband Joe, Steven Riggs, Chris Riggs and wife Angela, Kyle Riggs and wife Jennifer, Hannah Riggs, Ava Riggs, Landon Riggs; great-grandchildren, Carlie Sellers, Carson Sellers, Cierra Sellers, Savannah Cole, Jacob Cole, Carigan Maniace, Christina Maniace, Brianna Poole and Bobby Poole; brothers, James Kirkland Riggs and wife Frankie, John B Riggs and Ben Riggs, who was like a brother to him. A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. on Monday at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham with Pastor Ernest Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clint Day, Jr., Frank Day, Mark Clements, Kirk Clements, Russell Riggs, Scott Riggs, Johnny Riggs and Alan Stephenson.
