I worked for Colonel Morrison as his Operations Superintendent for the Counterdrug Operations Division at HQ NORAD in the early 90s. It was my honor to work for him. He was a consummate professional with a kind heart. Both he and Miss Joann were very gracious to my wife Joyce and I. Just a great and loving couple. I had the privilege of organizing his retirement which was a highlight of my career. My very deepest sympathies for his loss. RIP boss.

Russ made a point to attend my USAF Retirement ceremony - a friend and mentor throughout my career.

My wife and I met Russ and Joanne when we were both assigned to NATO HQ in Brussels. Russ was a Colonel and I was just a Captain but he became not only a mentor to my USAF career, but also a lifelong friend and also a computer buddy. Russ helped me work on inputs to my AF performance that was instrumental not only in helping make Major, but also taught me excellent writing skills that served me well for the rest of my career and was a factor in my success in the AF.
