Coleen's Obituary

RIPLEY- Coleen M Henry Yokom, 66, of Ripley, NY, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was born August 31, 1958, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Henry D and Ruth Perdue Henry. 

     She had attended North East High School. In earlier years she worked as a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 in Mayville and had been a waitress at several local restaurants. 

     Coleen had been a member of the South Ripley United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, golfing, her cats and watching the deer and birds in her back yard. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and being a grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Aunt Ween” by her many nieces and nephews. 

     She is survived by her son, Schawn (Erin) Spellman of North East, PA, four grandchildren, Elijah (Sicily Maine) Spellman, Shyann (Julian) Vera, Owen Spellman, and Ian Spellman, and  one great granddaughter, Everly Vera, one brother, Timothy Henry of Ripley, NY, one sister, Cindy Henry of Ripley, NY, four step siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis A. Yokom, a daughter, Johnny Lee Spellman, a grandson, Presley Spellman, and a sister, Christine Garske.

     There will be no public services observed. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
