Connie Sue (Rogers) Cate, age 53, passed away Saturday morning September 13, 2025 at her home near Greenville, MO. She was born August 1, 1972 in Dexter, MO, the daughter of Vernon Rogers, Mary Ann (Tackett) Rogers, and stepfather John “Pollock” Sanders.
She married Chris Cate on April 10, 2021, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Together, they shared a love of the open road, often enjoying rides on their Harley.
A courageous survivor of domestic violence, she turned her own struggles into strength by counseling and supporting many women who faced similar challenges. Her compassion and resilience left a lasting impact on countless lives.
She adored animals of all kinds, especially her beloved dogs, rabbits, and guinea pig. At home, she found peace and joy in gardening and caring for her many plants. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed watching Supernatural, her favorite television show.
In addition to her father Vernon Rogers, she is preceded in death by one brother, Teddy Rogers; and one sister, Sheila Rogers.
Survivors includes her loving husband Chris Cate of the home; her mother and stepfather, Mary Rogers and Pollock Sanders of Zalma; two children, Bridgett Rohan and her husband John of Wappapello, Brent Boyer of Perryville; two step children, Brenden Cate of Greenville, Breanne Cate of Patterson; two brothers, Chris Rogers of Advance, Josh Rogers and his wife Amber of Puxico; one sister, Lisa Boyer and her husband Danny of Marble Hill.
Also surviving is her niece, Sonya Calhoun; three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, her treasured puppies, Bella, Alice, and Cali; along with many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 20th at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Greenville. Funeral services followed at 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ernie Cate officiating. Special recorded songs were played at the service.
Interment was in the Post Oak Cemetery near McDougal, AR.
