Connie Lynn Rine, 76, of Frazeysburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, October 25, 2025 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
Born October 8, 1949 in Coshocton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Doris (Lapp) Fitzgerald and was a 1967 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose love and dedication touched all who knew her. A lifelong homemaker, she worked tirelessly to keep the family farm running, caring for her beloved Polled Hereford cattle and ensuring everything was always in its place. In addition to her work at home, she spent many years as secretary for Realty Executives and at the Soil and Water Conservation District. She also served faithfully as secretary of the Buckeye Polled Hereford Association for many years, where she was known for her organization, kindness, and dependable spirit.
Connie’s life was deeply rooted in both faith and family. She shared her love of music as a pianist, Organist and choir member at the Methodist church, where her joyful heart shone through in every song. She traveled all over the country with her daughter to cattle shows, building memories and friendships along the way.
She is survived by her loving husband, Len Rine whom she married April 6, 2003; her daughter, Vicki (Kris) Vance Weiser of Gambier; her son, Nathan (Ashley) Vance of Mount Vernon; her sister, Joyce Fitzgerald of Kentucky; several cousins and six grandchildren: Adam (Nessa) and Andrew (Hannah) Green, Taylor and Grant Vance, and Leah and Ruby Weiser.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Doris Fitzgerald.
Connie will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her deep love for her family, her gentle heart, and her tireless work ethic. Her presence will be deeply missed but her legacy will continue to live on in the lives she so lovingly nurtured.
A memorial service will be held at Frazeysburg Christian Church, 87 West 2nd Street, at a later date.
