Funeral Service Broadcast for Connie Swaney

Connie LaVonne Bartholow Swaney, 78, passed away on December 31, 2025, at Hometown Manor in Shelbyville, KY. Born August 10, 1947, in Dennison, OH she was the daughter of the late Charles Herbert Bartholow and Olive Marie Ross Bartholow.

Connie worked as a dedicated hairdresser. After the birth of her daughter, she continued her work from home so she could both support and raise her family. She was known as a fiercely independent and proud woman who would do anything for those she loved. Connie took great pride in her role as a grandmother, was a caring neighbor, and remained deeply loyal to the people she held close.  

Connie is survived by her daughter, ChVonne Swaney; her grandsons, Breckon Reichert and Brooks Reichert; her aunt, Mary Ann Parker and her cousin, Wanda Parker.  

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Jon Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. 

Serving as pallbearers will be Waylon Reichert, Breckon Reichert, and Brooks Reichert.
