Corey's Obituary

Our beloved Corey Ryan Yarmock, 35 of Amherst, fell asleep in the Lord Saturday, March 21, 2026.

Corey was born November 19, 1990 in Amherst, Ohio.  He graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in 2009.

Corey was employed with Silco Fire and Security as a Lead Advance Fire Systems Technician for the last six years.  He was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church of Lorain.

Corey loved spending quality time with his wife and his daughter, who he adored and they were the center of his world.  He also loved his evenings around the fire with his dog Rocky by his side.  Another one of his passions was restoring old cars with his dad, who was teaching him the trade.  Corey had such a loving heart that he showed to all his friends, family and even strangers.  Everyone that knew Corey loved him.

Corey leaves behind his wife of five years, Tiffany (nee Rathwell) of Amherst and his daughter Bailey at home.  Parents Todd and Dorothea Redilla of Oberlin, brothers Chad Yarmock of North Ridgeville and Shawn Yarmock of Amherst.  His aunts and uncles, Dan and Asimenia Eichler of Elyria and Athanasios “Tom” and Linda Sekoulopoulos of Amherst, who were also his God Parents.  Five nieces and nephews, Landon, Liliana, Rory, Rylen and Kyros.  His beloved God Child, Matteo Sharber, four cousins, Daniel, Philip, Nikolas and Stephen and his two cherished friends Dave and Teddy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents (Dedo and Baba) Petros and Alexandra Sekoulopoulos.

His family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Church, 3056 Reeves Ave., Lorain, OH 44052 where Trisygion service will be held at 6:00pm.  His funeral service will be there Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10:00am with viewing starting at 9:00am prior to the service.  Reverend Paul Monkowski, Rector will officiate.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.

The family suggests that all memorial contributions to help with expenses be made directly to Tiffany Yarmock or through the GoFundMe at https://gofund.me/2a32b31c0
