Crystal was born on April 12, 1993, in Baton Rouge, LA to the parentage of Rodney Gordon and the late Jeanette Gordon. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. Though she was a native of Darrow, LA, Crystal made her home in Gonzales.
Crystal accepted Christ at a young age at St. Peter’s Baptist Church, in Darrow, LA under the leadership of Reverand Job Stephens. She attended St. Amant High school and graduated with the Class of 2011. She then went on to work for Wal-Mart, Lofton Security, Allied Universal Security and Weiser Security Service Inc.
Crystal was known for her infectious smile, compassionate heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. She had an unwavering love for her family and friends and will be remembered for her strength, generosity, and the light she brought into every room she entered. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and singing, and spending time with family and friends. She loved getting her hair, nails and makeup done and dressing up everyday. Also, she loved shopping, cooking and working very hard.
Crystal was full of life and love. She will forever be loved and cherished in the hearts of those that she left behind; her fiancé Dentrell Howard Sr., stepson Dentrell Howard Jr., father Rodney Gordon, siblings; Alexis Gordon, Rodney Gordon Jr., Terrilyn Bush {Tavares}, Aunts, Joyce Shivers {Michael}, Leatha Gordon, Uncles; Melvin Gordon Sr. {Vera}, Milton Gordon {Justina}, Keith Gordon {Denise}, Troy Gordon, Cousins; Tanayah Bush, Tavares Bush Jr., Melvin Gordon Jr., Trinity Gordon & Treasure Gordon, a devoted cousin; Valerie Gordon, godfather; Bruce Cushenberry and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Crystal was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Gordon; paternal grandparents, Ernest Gordon Jr. & Rose Anna Gordon; maternal grandparents, Coach Henry James Bailey Jr. & Rosia Mary C. Bailey.
Crystal will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, kind heart, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact will be felt for years to come by all who knew and loved her.
