Cynthia's Obituary

Cynthia W. Denlinger, formerly of West Windsor, NJ passed away peacefully Friday, September 5, 2025. Born in Trenton, NJ, she resided in West Windsor, NJ with her family for more than forty years before moving to the Philadelphia area.

Cindy was a loving mother and wife and a dedicated business education teacher, a strong advocate for both her family and her students.  Initially a high school teacher in Pemberton, NJ and Woburn, Mass, she spent much of her career teaching adults through Hightstown’s Adult Education program and Mercer County Community College’s Career Training Institute in Trenton, NJ.  Her students respected and loved her for the way she mentored them toward a better future.  Her family loved and cherished her for her unwavering love and support throughout her life.

In addition to her love of teaching, Cindy was active in Girl Scouting, serving as troop leader for her daughter’s troops in West Windsor and at the council level for the Delaware Raritan Girl Scout Council, where she worked to broaden girls’ horizons through Wider Opportunities and other experiences.  She was a member of and served in Christian Education for First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. A former member of Trenton Assembly #9, International Order of Rainbow for Girls, she was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star until her move to Philadelphia.

Cindy supported her husband and children in all they did.  She encouraged her kids to explore the world, experience new things, and serve others.  She understood that learning and service come in all shapes and opportunities.  She supported her husband Ed through his PhD and career as a research engineer.  In her free time, she fostered her love of gardening through her yard and houseplants and occasionally made it to the ballroom to dance with the love of her life, her husband Ed.  In all she did, she lived a life of love.

Daughter of the late Helen and Harry Wilson, she was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edgar Denlinger. Cynthia is survived by her children, Crystal S. Denlinger of Conshohocken, PA and Craig W. Denlinger and his wife Haley of Fletcher, NC; her grandchildren Bo, Wesley, and Bridger; her brother Roger Wilson of Huntington Beach, CA; and her cousins Thomas Pitcherello and Marilyn Pitcherello.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 12th from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Saturday, September 13th with a visitation beginning at 9:30am at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, 320 North Main St., Hightstown, NJ.  Interment will follow in Colonial Memorial Park Cemetery, Hamilton.
