Not sure what to say?

What a great man! Always enjoyed our conversations back in the 70s when he delivered barrels of oil to our shop. He could place a barrel of oil like no other. His positive energy was always welcoming . Glad to have those memories. He will be missed. Condolences to Thelma and the family.

My condolences to the family. I know my dad (Curt Chamberlain) had great respect for the family.

Cyril's Obituary

Anoka - Dehn, Cyril "Cy" January 10, 1933 - August 8, 2025 Cyril "Cy" Dehn, age 92, of Anoka, MN, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2025.

A beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, Cy lived a full and active life. Born on January 10, 1933, Cy was the second of four generations to proudly operate Dehn Oil Company in Anoka, a family business that grew to serve the greater Twin Cities area. Cy was married to his beloved wife, Thelma, for 73 years. Together they built a life rich in love, laughter, and memories. From long weekends at the cabin - where Cy taught his grandchildren to fish, water-ski, and tube - to winters spent in Bonita Springs, Florida, he treasured time with family and friends. He and Thelma especially enjoyed happy hour with their many friends, and he "never met a stranger." A colorful storyteller, Anoka historian, and lifelong do-it-yourselfer, Cy had a knack for tinkering and fixing just about anything. Cy was a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus at St. Stephen's Church in Anoka and served as Past Board Member of the Minnesota Petroleum Association, meeting many friends along the way.

He is survived by his loving wife, Thelma; three children, Warren (Lori) Dehn, Mary (Ed) Wilberg, and Laurie (Breck) Spinner; daughter-in-law, Cindy Dehn; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great- great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Ken Dehn, and sister, Carol Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Dehn and Ronald Dehn. Cy's wit and shenanigans will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Stephen's Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 20, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Stephen's Catholic School in Anoka. Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home Anoka, 763-421-0220 www.thurston-lindberg.com
