Hurt……….Dale Wayne Rowell, Sr., age 75 of Hurt died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at his residence. Born January 10, 1939 in Athol, Massachusetts he was a son of the late Crystal Rowell Butterworth and Thomas Butterworth. He was predeceased by a large amount of family and friends, and his dog, Annie. Mr. Rowell was in construction; and enjoyed walking, traveling, outdoors, and animals of all kinds.He is survived by his wife, Rosa Emily Slocum Rowell; two sons, Dale Rowell, Jr., and Kenny Rowell; two daughters, Samantha Fowler, and Patty Rines; one stepson, Joseph Duby; one stepdaughter, Frances Kathan and her husband, Richard; two brothers, Scotty Butterworth and Stevie Butterworth; two sisters, Linda Hopkins, and Norma Butterworth; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and his dog, Pinky.Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at the Colbert-Moran Chapel by Rev. Walter J. Coles.Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
