Dale's Obituary

Dale J. Staley, 57, of Martins Ferry, OH died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV. He was born Aug. 24, 1957 in Wheeling, WV a son of Mary E. (Coss) Staley and the late George J. Staley. He was employed by the Belmont Correctional Institute of St. Clairsville, OH. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Martins Ferry and a honorary member of the Vigilant Fire Department, Martins Ferry. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother James M. Staley. Surviving in addition to his mother are his fiancee Diane Evans of Martins Ferry, brothers; Patrick (Jodi) Staley of Martins Ferry, David (Tracey) Staley and Jerry (Jamie) Staley all of Wheeling, WV, sister, Connie (Bob) Hackett of Martins Ferry, sister-in-law, Tina Staley of Martins Ferry, step-children; Tracy (Troy) Evans of Napoleon, OH and Tina (Sam) Robinson of Martins Ferry, step-grandchildren; Taylor and Mark McMahon, Vanessa, Ashlei and Valani Ray and Samantha Major, step great grandchildren; Kieden and Grayson McMahon and his dog Sally Bones. Friends will be received Thursday, May 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 6 pm until time of service at 8:00 pm at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH with Fr. Tom Marut officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Vigilant Fire Department will hold services Thursday at 7:00 pm in the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be made by signing the guest book below.
