Dale Tosten Williamson, 95, of Sioux Falls passed away January 8, 2026, under hospice care.
He was born in Parker, SD on July 19, 1930, to Tosten and Julia (Christensen) Williamson. They then moved to Viborg, SD where Dale grew up.
In 1950 he joined the Navy. After being honorably discharged in 1954 he then moved back to Viborg. There he met his wife of sixty-seven years, Rozella Snyder. They were married in 1956. Dale worked for the SD State Penitentiary for over 30 years before retiring.
They had two children, Deb and Kevin.
Dale is survived by his children, Debra Snoozy of Sioux Falls, and Kevin Williamson (Denise) of Carlsbad, CA; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Phillips (Adam) and three great-granddaughters, Natalie, Halle and Casey. He is also survived by two sisters, Jackie and Barbara and one brother, Darrell and sister-in-law Loraine, and many nieces and nephews.
Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Rozella, his parents and his son-in-law, Bill Snoozy.
A memorial service will be held 1:00pm Friday, January 16, 2026, at Grace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Burial will take place 11:00am Friday, January 16, 2026, at Hills of Rest Memorial Park.
