Dear Dameta: From the Very First Time we met until now, you have been a Dear Sister-In-Law, a Dependable Friend, and a Reliable Confidant. The LOVE you have shown to everyone especially to “Doug” was All Inclusive. Now you are THERE WITH HIM too. Continue to ENJOY HEAVEN as you RECEIVE COMFORT AND HEALING IN THE ARMS OF JESUS, AMEN!!!

As high school students Dameta and I worked together during the summers at the McDowell County Sheriff's Office. From reading the obituary I can see that she lived a wonderful life! May she now rest in peace after giving so much of herself to others!

I will miss my beautiful friend, such a loving , caring and sharing person. I thank God for putting her in my life. I will miss all the laughter and conversations, not to mention the food especially the good cornbread. May God bless and be with each of you.

Dameta worked with my mom for many years and Mom adored her! She frequently spoke of Dameta and what they were doing at work. When my mom got up into her seventies and refused to retire I took comfort knowing she had a friend like Dameta at work. I know Mama was among the welcoming committee when Dameta went home. My deepest condolences to her family, church and friends.
