Not sure what to say?

I think of Dan often and very fondly. I retell his jokes all the time and still have some of his religious emails. Whenever I'm feeling like I don't want to spend money, I am reminded of his various efforts to get free or discounted stuff that were successful. He was one of a kind. I hope that Ardis and the girls are doing well and that the grief of his passing has now turned into memories of the good times - not his illness, but his humor and personality.

Dear Ardis & Family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry to hear of Daniel's death. He suffered so much, but had a good heart. He soars with the angels now and is at peace.

Ardis and Family,
It has been a long struggle, but it is always so sad when the end comes. I hope you will find peace in knowing what a great guy Dan was and the good times you shared.

Dearest Ardis and family,
We are saddened by the news of Dan's passing.
At the same time, there is some comfort in acknowledging and applauding with admiration, respect and perhaps a little envy, a life well lived. By any measure, Dan lived life masterfully - with faith, virtue, courage, strength, good humor and enthusiasm.
The years Dan was a dear colleague are being treasured.
"In the night of death, hope sees a star, and listening love can hear a rustle of a wing".

Meghan called us at home to tell us about this wonderful man that we in the Horton family were lucky enough to get to know all these years. He made such an impression on me the first time I met him. He had a beautiful smile and these sparkling eyes. To all his girls and their families and to his strong and wonderful partner, Ardis our hearts and prayers are with you
.Love,Gail and Vince Horton

I treasure the time I spent working with Dan in my younger years. We worked hard and played hard and he always made me laugh so much. I remember when Ardis put toothpaste inside his Oreo cookies as a prank. I can testify that he definitely made a huge inpact on my like. I will miss him and love the memories I have working with him.

Dan, you were the funniest, most long-winded, brother in-law I have. You told the best jokes, and always had a beautiful smile. I wish a had a 10th of the determination and will that you had shown handling your MS. You suffered in silent for far too long. Rest in peace as you are free. Love, Gayle
